Foundation Haul : L'Oreal Lumi Magique, Max Factor 3 in 1 Foundation

                                      Foundation Haul

There are a couple of new foundations out at the moment and i wanted to try. i ordered L'Oreal's Lumi Magique, Max Factors 3 in 1 foundation and Maybelline's Fit me Foundation, but for some reason the fit me foundation hasn't arrived yet so Im just going to review these two.

                                      `     L'Oreal Lumi Magique

I got shade 'Pure Beige' N4 .. Boy was i wrong. i ended looking like a Umpa Lumpa. way too orange for me. for a fair test i did apply any moisturiser or primer before applying the foundation. and once i applied the foundation i didnt apply any concealer or powder. now i do this with my regular foundation except apply powder on top to set the foundation. i am doing this to see how the foundation alone will result.

Here is a picture of me WITHOUT MAKE UP!
so you can compare.. i dont have many blemishes just a few red patches and bags under my eyes. so you can compare.

Now i have fairly good skin as in its not too oily, not too dry and i dont break out. i do have combination skin, i get a little oily around my nose and forehead area.

Here is the after picture

Yes i know i look like terrible but putting the colour aside for a sec.

now applying the foundation was really nice, it was smooth to the touch and applied very nicely and evenly, the foundation to wear felt very light and didn't feel caked on. But unfortunately that's wear the good comments stopped.

the coverage was okay to start with but after wearing it for a few hours it became very patchy and if it wernt as dark and matched my skin tone i think it would be even worse, as it being so dark it covered my red patches. the worst thing of all it was soo oily. the name 'lumi' as in luminous was obviously an aim for this foundation because it was soo shiny. if you have oily skin you defiantly have to steer clear. i dont even have oily skin and my forehead felt so oily. i think if i wore this all the time i would probably break out.

Max Factors 3 in 1 foundation

I got Shade 'Natural 50 '. to be honest i could of gone a couple of shades lighter but it weren't too bad for my skin.. for a fair test i did apply any moisturiser or primer before applying the foundation. and once i applied the foundation i didn't apply any concealer or powder. now i do this with my regular foundation except apply powder on top to set the foundation. i am doing this to see how the foundation alone will result.

Again here is the Before and After Picture

This foundation was the complete opposite to L'Oreal's Lumi Magique. and i mean that in a good way. as soon as i applied the foundation to my skin i could automatically feel the benefit  it was so creamy and not oily, it glided on my skin and made it looked flawless. this foundation is very matte so i would recommend you apply moisturiser before use as it is very dry. like i said i have combination skin, and were as Lumi Magique brought the oily-ness out in my skin. this was very dry which i really liked. literally seconds after i applied the foundation it seemed to set like a mask to my face and cover every flaw. it really is like having a concealer and foundation in one. i really loved this product as it didn't look shiny but yet brought out a bit luminosity into my skin, not too dry were it dried my skin out and it really DOES make your skin flawless.

with this foundation i dont think i would have to use a powder to set the foundation were as i normally do. because it seemed to set itself. after wearing it for a few hours i noticed my skin was just as flawless, and it was soft to the touch. i really loved this foundation and i think i might be trading in my regular foundation for an upgrade, being as my usual foundation is also max factor.

WARNING:. I really loved this foundation BUT, for those of you who have Dry skin, i don't think this would be for you, as i previously stated it is very dry, i have dry skin on the end of my nose and it didn't seem to make it worse, so if you really must have it and you have dry skin i would defiantly recommend you use a moisturiser or even mix in a current foundation for more moisture. as it really is a great foundation.
