Velvetines Red Velvet Review

The Long Awaited Velvetines

I have been waiting for this little gem for quite a while now, since it came out really. If you know anything about Lime Crime you will know about this product and the Buzz its created, its taken me such a long time to get this its crazy, it seems whenever it was in stock i either didnt have the money or it was snapped up by everyone else within weeks sometime just days it was gone. Lime Crime restocked Velvetines on the first of April  i had the money i was going to finally get it! , i waited till the second of April to get mine because Lime Crime fans had been waiting for this day and went a little crazy and crashed the website, Lime Crime knew this was gonna happen so i was sure they would stock plenty so i casually waited the next day to get mine, all this chaos and Velvetines is still in stock haha.

Velvetines have two shades, Red Velvet ( which i have ) and Suedeberry. I bought Red velvet as i preferred the colour to Suedeberry, Suedeberry is a coral/pinkish red and i dont think i would ever see myself wearing it .

As much as i have wanted this product for so long, the reviews on it, the pictures and everything else that convinced me to get it i never expected what i got.

THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING! as soon as i got it through the post i opened the pretty package and unscrewed the top to what my nose detects but only a lovely chocolaty scent that just made me want to eat it,
I then applied it, just the one coat, and it drys instantly, no feathering, no smudging, and sooo easy to apply.
you know when you apply lipstick sometimes no matter how good the lipstick you tend to make a bit of a mess you know go outside the lines get some on your teeth, well i dont know how to explain but this just dosnt seem to happen with this, just because of the simplicity of it.

another thing i liked because it drys so quickly, you can eat, drink, smoke even kiss.. its sooo dry there's no transfer what so ever but the magic thing is even though its really dry, it dosnt dry your lips its actually quite nice, again Lime Crime how do you do it? Magic!

After drying it gives a velvety matte finish    (really like red velvet) and when you apply another coat it makes the colour darker, the only bad point i would say ( BUT this is also a good thing ) is it really stains your lips, and i mean really stains, some people may like that as red lips are never a bad thing but for me i wear a different coloured lipstick everyday and when my lips are still red it can be a bit of a pain.

This product is Liquid but finishes Matte?
This product is dry/ matte but dosnt look or feel dry?
This product goes on like it already knows your lips better than you do?
This product is so opaque, bold and pigmented but yet it only stays on your lips?
THIS PRODUCT IS MAGIC!
And everyone should own one!

Gargoyle: Body Paint Shoot

 Gargoyle Body Paint

with Paul Harrison & Lauren / Alice

Had alot of fun doing this shoot as i had never done body painting before and the results / final pictures came out so brilliantly. On the down side it maybe the first time i have done body painting but it will also be the last ( or until i can afford and find some better body paint materials ) the reason being is because i was ill the day before and i dont do well in hot weather, the day we did this it was incredibly hot and we were stuck in a hot studio, after about 10 minutes of painting Lauren the fumes of the body paint got to me, i had a huge headache and it being so hot i started getting a bit queasy. but apart from that i will defiantly be doing it again but not anytime soon as i sort of need to find a good brand of body paint which is also good value for money. if you know of any good body paint brands please send me the link.

These are the final shots, edited by me and some i went a bit crazy on the editing, Warning! some of these shots are nude pictures, not porn but art, so if you are easily offended please stop scrolling.

The Making of: Wings & Behind the scenes

The wings were made by Paul Harrison ( Photographer ) .. not just a good photographer but good at arts and crafts too . who knew?

Recent Photoshoot's

 Catwomen / Li-anne & Beth

Thought i would give you an update on the recent shoots i have done. The first shoot was with Li-anne and her partner Claire taking shots of their upcoming business Fringe Vintage, which sells hair accessories and Jewelry, many of the shots were basically advertising what they have for sale, but after that me and Li-anne had a bit of fun and decided to do a catwomen themed shoot, the shoot was a lot of fun with li-anne showcasing what positions she could bend and twist into. the next shoot was with model beth, she had recently had a hair colour change and wanted more shots of it.

All the information on Fringe Vintage i will give in a later Post
All the Credits below of the Models & Photographer

Catwomen

This shoot was a lot of fun, it started with Li-anne wearing a real mask then the later one with makeup. Paul the photographer made a make shift holder for a diamond we decided to use because the mask was based of the batman movie with michelle pfeiffer as catwomen. and under the holder was a flash so when the photographes were taken it gave the effect of a twinkling diamond. No photoshop!

 Beth Chambers

If you Remember from the decade shoot we done Beth had Blonde hair with blue ends, she has recently dyed her hair red/orange and it suits her so much better, she needed more shots for her portfolio of her new hair and the first look we done i had used flame/fire colours as it best suited her complexion and new hair.

The next Look was just a dramatic liner with added pink, to match her undies.
